This complete martial art gives the student understanding of themselves and their surroundings. Pa Kua martial art stresses personal development and is most recognizable by its circular form of combat. It uses the opponent's strength against them, and through in-depth studies the techniques of the martial art, adds confidence, which brings much benefit to any student.

 

Who practices?

Pa Kua is for all ages and abilities. We have classes for children ages 4-7, children ages 8-12, teens, adults and seniors. The classes for beginners to advanced. All classes are taught by Masters and instructors with international certification that are recertified annually. Private lessons are available, standards groups ranging from 2 to 12 people in a class. 

 

What will you learn?

In a non-competitive environment safe, you will learn the Traditional Chinese Knowledge of Pa-Kua. This consists of techniques for ground fighting and standing, including but not limited to: strokes, pressure points, levers, manipulations, sweeps, submissions and key bottlenecks. You will also develop the internal aspects of Pa-Kua through meditation, breathing techniques and forms. Everything is taught in a progressive way, so that you will be prepared for each step along the way, studying in the class with the Master or instructor.

 

How will you benefit?

You will gain the confidence to lead the life you want with peace, to have the techniques and martial art training to overcome their fears and anxiety daily. That means you will have more energy to focus on the life you want to live and enjoy. The Chinese theory is that our body is a reflection of our mind and vice versa. So with stretching, improving coordination and increasing strength, you will benefit in many ways internally as well, will release endorphins, which is one of the many reasons why you'll feel better after each class!.

The training forms, slow will improve harmony and internal growth and physical well-being. Pa-Kua is a complete art, which gives its practitioner a better sense of self-confidence, increased concentration, increased coordination and flexibility.

 

Brief overview of the lesson:

  • Run with training exercises

  • 24 movements to improve energy, flexibility, balance and coordination

  • Practice falling safely

  • Improvement and practice kicks

  • Training with sideboards

  • Technical training, such as defense against throws or attacks and offensive techniques
